There are 21 teams in the mix as we get ready for the 2010 Tour de France.
The big news of course so far is that this will be Lance Armstrong’s last Tour de France, but in all honesty it isn’t a sure thing at all that he comes in and wins his 8th title.
There are a lot of riders that will be looking to steal or maybe share his spotlight along the route and I don’t blame any of them.
The Grand start of the 2010 race is Saturday July 3 in Rotterdam.
Look for news and information here as the race goes on and riders start to put on the yellow jersey.

Lance Armstrong has announced that this year’s Tour de France will be his last. That means that the 2010 Tour de France will be the last time that Mr. Armstrong will be the spotlight attraction of the most famous bicycle race in the world.
Armstrong made the announcement about his cycling future via his Twitter account, of course.
“Yes, this will be final Tour de France. It’s been a great ride. Looking forward to 3 great weeks.”
I’m not sure whether or not I’m expecting controversy of any kind as Armstrong goes for his 8th Tour de France title but I don’t think I’d be surprised if there was some.
The 97th Tour de France starts July 3, 2010 in Rotterdam, Netherlands.
