Sumter Schools to be Recommended for 5-Year AdvancED Accreditation

For the past year, the Sumter District Schools has been working on the review process to continue the distinction of accreditation. In January, a visiting team of professionals came to our district to review and evaluate how we meet the needs of our students. While there is always room for improvement, we are excited to announce the External Review Team has recommended to AdvancED that the Sumter County School District be accredited for a 5-Year term. This recommendation will be reviewed by AdvancED and we anticipate the acceditation will be finalized at the annual meeting of AdvancED in the fall of 2015.
